Yes and no. We use different pigments, inks, machines, needles and techniques. It is a field of its own that requires a specialized technician. This procedure uses smaller needles that do not penetrate as deep as regular tattoos. Because of this, SMP is much less painful causing minor discomfort that varies person to person.

With proper care, SMP can last several years. Typically 4-6 years. However the treatment will experience gradual fading over time which is normal. To maintain the desired look, clients may choose a touch-up session to restore fading and secure results for several more years. Touch-up - in most cases - are in the 1-2 year mark.

Scalp Micro Pigmentation (SMP) shares some similarities with traditional tattoos in terms of permanence and the possibility of removal. Treatment length can vary depending on the degree of thinning. Each session can be between 2-4 hours. Most clients will be done in 2 sessions, but in some cases 3 to ensure optimal results. Each session is between 2 to 4 weeks apart to ensure proper healing.

Scalp Micro Pigmentation is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment with minimal downtime. Clients can usually resume normal activities shortly after the session. Slight redness may occur for 2-3 days, but quickly subsides. Wearing hats is allowed if needed. The procedure is designed to be minimally intrusive, allowing clients to continue their daily life.

It is recommended that you do not do any intensive or heavy exercise 4-5 days after the procedure.

The cost varies depending on the size of surface area that you are seeking treatment. It is recommended for people to send pictures of the hairline along with the top and back of the head to get the most accurate quote! Be sure to include pictures of any scars that you are seeking to get SMP treatment.
